The Parks Library Makerspace is a creative hub designed for hands-on learning. Equipped with fit-for-purpose technology and a range of programs, it's the perfect place to explore new skills, experiment with ideas, and bring your projects to life.

Accessing the Makerspace
All Libraries SA members 16+ are welcome to complete an induction. Outside of Public Drop-In sessions, children aged 9–15 can use the Makerspace if they’ve done the induction with their parent or carer. The same parent or carer must stay with them and supervise at all times.
For Full Access you must complete a Makerspace Room Induction.

No induction needed for drop-in visits, advice or tool use during staffed hours below.

Programs
There’s always something happening in the Makerspace! Whether you’re just getting started or already love to tinker, we’ve got a program for you.
- Support Sessions – Need a hand using the equipment or bringing an idea to life? Our friendly team is here to help with one-on-one support.
- Drop-In Sessions – No booking or induction required! Pop in during our public drop-in hours to explore and experiment.
- Maker Testers – Try out new tools and tech as part of our Maker Tester sessions and create something amazing.
- Repair Café – Got something broken? Don’t toss it—bring it in! Our Repair Café sessions help you fix everyday items with the guidance of volunteers.
