When your child is ready for a challenge, they can start exploring Middle Reads. Focus on enjoyment – it’s okay to move between both.
Middle Reads
Chapter books, quick reads and graphic novels to spark your child’s love of reading. Great for exploring new genres, favourite authors, and different writing styles.
Keep reading together with your child. Try a mix of Junior Reads and Middle Reads. As confidence grows, readers can move on to Young Teen.
Young Teen
Stories, graphic novels, and information books for ages 12–14. Bridging the gap between children’s and teen fiction with reading that matches their interests and maturity.
Young teens may still enjoy Middle Reads, while confident 11 year-olds may be ready to explore Young Teen titles.
